The Good Old Days
The Henman Family have been farming in the Islip and Woodeaton area since William Henman arrived at Manor Farm, Islip, from Bromham in Bedfordshire, in 1862. He "found" his wife, Elizabeth, on a nearby farm at Watereaton.
100 years ago it would take a whole day to plough an acre of ground or harvest five acres of wheat.
